Martin Volunteers helps local groups, businesses find service projects

PRESS RELEASE DATE: JULY 7, 2009

Martin Volunteers worked with Club Change of Martin County to find a service project for National Health Care Day of Service on June 27.

Nearly a dozen volunteers from Club Change participated in the Day of Service helping with landscaping at The Place at Stuart assisted living facility.

The volunteers spread 100 bags of mulch in less than two hours, resulting in a very attractive garden area in front of the building where residents can sit and walk to enjoy the outdoors.

Contact Martin Volunteers, a United Way of Martin County program, at (772) 220-4472 if your organization or business is interested in finding a service project.
