Palm Cove Women’s Club raises $12,069 for Toys for Tots/White Doves Holiday Project

PRESS RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 24, 2009

The Palm Cove Women’s Club sponsored its annual holiday luncheon to benefit the Martin Volunteers Toys for Tots/White Doves Holiday Project on Nov. 5.

A crowd of 150 people took care of some early seasonal shopping from 18 local vendors during a holiday bazaar, and then guests enjoyed a formal high tea in the Palm Cove clubhouse dining room where they bid on individual cakes decorated with various embellishments replicating a tea pot.

The successful event, co-chaired by Sue Ericson and Patricia McCluskey, raised more than $12,069.50, all of which will be used to provide holiday food and gifts to thousands of children and their families in Martin County.

“I want to thank the Palm Cove Women’s Club, the Palm Cove community and the luncheon guests for their continued support of the Toys for Tots/White Doves Holiday Project,” Martin Volunteers Vice President Donna Cerrone-Alexander said.
