Martin Volunteers
is holding its 16th annual “Good Times”
fund-raiser, which offers a chance at
free groceries and the guarantee of
supporting valuable community projects.
Martin Volunteers
is looking for volunteers to help sell
the Good Times raffle tickets outside
the Stuart Fine Foods grocery stores in
Stuart and Palm City. Ticket sales will
run from mid-February through mid-March.
If you would like
to help sell tickets – or want to buy
some -- please call Martin Volunteers
project coordinator Anne Lalley at (772)
220-4472, ext. 232.
Good Times tickets
are a bargain at $2 each or three for
$5. Thanks to the generosity of Joe
Mazzochi of Stuart Fine Foods, the Good
Times fund-raiser once again will offer
three prizes:
-
First prize -
$1,300 in groceries
-
Second prize -
$750 in groceries
-
Third prize -
$550 in groceries
As a bonus, the
person who sells the first-prize ticket
will receive $100.
The winning tickets
are good for a year at either of the
Stuart Fine Foods locations.
The drawing will
take place on March 15, 2007. Entrants
do not have to be present to win.
The fund-raiser
generates about $6,000 each year for
Martin Volunteers, which coordinates
RSVP and large-scale projects such as
the White Doves Holiday Project, the
School Supplies for Students Drive,
leadership development for volunteer
coordinators at nonprofit organizations,
and disaster services.
Martin Volunteers
formerly was known as the Volunteer &
Community Resource Center (VCRC) and is
a program of United Way or Martin
County.
