Martin Volunteers is staffing a Hobe Sound
site to reach more people looking for volunteer activities.

UNITED WAY OF MARTIN COUNTY is looking
for a volunteer to serve as campaign clerk, to assist with
data input, direct mail correspondence, and other jobs as
needed to ensure the success of United Way’s annual
campaign.
EYE RESEARCH FOUNDATION seeks volunteers to perform general
clerical duties including data gathering, entry and
analysis. Also seeking volunteers to assist patients during
study visits.
MOLLY’S HOUSE needs volunteers to assist with bulk mailing:
folding, enveloping, sealing, labeling, etc.
THE ARC OF MARTIN COUNTY needs
construction volunteers, as well as volunteers from the
medical field, motivational speakers and trainers in
management. They are also looking for volunteers to help
answer the phones on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, as well
as volunteers to assist with upcoming fund-raiser.
ALZHEIMER’S COMMUNITY CARE is looking
for volunteers to serve as senior companions, day care
assistants, disc jockey, kitchen prep, support group
facilitator and public relations.
THE MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
seeks volunteers for special projects, data entry, the mall
office and other community policing offices, fingerprinting,
parking enforcement, Neighborhood Watch coordinators,
accreditation assistants, and general office help.
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES CENTER needs gift
shop attendants, special event help, garden/landscape
maintenance, and a curriculum materials assistant.
HOBE SOUND ANIMAL PROTECTION LEAGUE
seeks volunteer with Quickbooks experience and volunteers to
help clean the sanctuary on Tuesday and Friday.
THE PLACE AT STUART is looking for
volunteers to assist with activities.
HOBE SOUND CHILD CARE seeks board
members, grant writers, and participants for their Foster
Grandparent Program.
PARKWAY HEALTH AND REHAB seeks a
volunteer coordinator to organize volunteer program. Also
need volunteers to call BINGO, dining assistants, care
managers, and support group facilitators.
VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE CLINIC needs
help from retired health care professionals as well as
clerical assistants.
TREASURE COAST HOSPICES need friendly
visitors, in-home care, nursing assistants, respite care,
office assistants, and helpers for their thrift store.
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION needs office
help on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also looking for
volunteers for stuffing/labeling a mailing for an upcoming
event, as well as help with event preparation. Volunteers
also needed to make phone calls to get RSVPs for that event.
ANGELS OF LOVE CHARITY is looking for
volunteers to help make layettes for needy newborns.
CHILDREN'S HOME SOCIETY seeks new and
active board members to help start up an advisory committee.
COUNCIL ON AGING is in great need of
volunteers for Meals on Wheels. Also need volunteers for the
Adult Day Club and for clerical help. Also need volunteers
to plan/participate in fundraising events or grant writing.
FLORIDA OCEANOGRAPHIC is looking for
volunteers as exhibit and trail guides.
HOPE RURAL SCHOOL needs volunteers to
serve as tutors, after-care aides, library aides and
technology assistants.
HOUSE OF HOPE needs help in thrift
stores and in their food pantry.
SPCA OF THE TREASURE COAST is looking
for volunteers to perform general store duties. They are
also looking for volunteers for fundraising/special events.
STUART POLICE DEPARTMENT needs
volunteers to assist with non-emergency calls and perform
Citizens on Patrol Neighborhood Watches.
UNITED FOR FAMILIES needs volunteers to
assist during their Teeing Off Fore Kids Gold Tournament on
May 30.
211 OF PALM BEACH AND THE TREASURE
COAST needs volunteers to distribute materials and discuss
211 services at community events. They also need speakers to
make presentations to community organizations.
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
Road to Recovery program needs volunteer drivers willing to
take patients to and from their treatment appointments.
AMERICAN RED CROSS
needs medical and non-medical shelter workers, health and
safety instructors, mental health counselors, warehouse
volunteers, master of mailings, vehicle maintenance
supervisor, and a community disaster education coordinator.
Also needed are volunteers for the Disaster Education
Simulator, including drivers, operators and speakers.
ARTS
COUNCIL, THE
needs gallery volunteers to work three-hour shifts. Also
need volunteers for their Picture People Program (in
schools), artist scouts, poster/magazine distribution
volunteers, a reception planning assistant, event
volunteers.
ATTENTION
ALL NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS!
Community Emergency Response Team members needed to aid
immediately after a disaster.
BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
is looking for adult volunteers to serve as mentors to
children twice a month in a community-based setting. Also
looking for Community Program Volunteers to engage in
community activities with children.
CARING CHILDREN/CLOTHING
CHILDREN needs
help sorting and distributing donated clothing at the 4-Cs
"shop" for needy children.
BOYS
AND GIRLS CLUBS are looking for mentors, homework
assistants, a chess teacher, and teachers with expertise
similar to chess. Also looking for someone to perform
clerical tasks.
CHILDREN'S EMERGENCY
RESOURCES seeks
a grant writer.
DOMINO’S HOUSE
seeks volunteers for animal care, foster care, fundraising,
publications, etc.
DUNBAR CHILD CARE CENTER
needs volunteers to rock and hold infants, play with
toddlers, and read to 3- and 4-year-old children.
ELLIOTT
MUSEUM needs Summer Arts Camp Counselors to work with
children, ages 5-16, and assist the Art Teacher.
EXECUTIVE SERVICE CORPS OF
THE TREASURE COAST:
Consultants needed to help nonprofit agencies.
FOSTER GRANDPARENTS
PROGRAM seeks
one-on-one mentors for elementary schools, local Head Start.
Training provided.
Guardian Ad Litem
– Represent abused, neglected or abandoned children in
court. Also looking for volunteers to assist with office
help.

needs board and committee members for family selection,
family support, public relations and volunteer

needs volunteers – various hours and days (docents, gift
shop, education outreach, special events).
HUMANE SOCIETY
needs help for thrift store, pet foster care, community
events, offsite adoptions and more.

COMMERCE is
looking for greeters and office assistance.
HELPING PEOPLE SUCCEED needs volunteers to serve as music
and movement toy washers and a relief receptionist. Also
need volunteers to assist with clerical duties.
JUMPSTART TOMORROW, INC. needs Board Members knowledgeable
in legal matters, fundraising, website maintenance,
education, grant writer, etc.
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT
seeks volunteers to go into K-12 grade classrooms to teach
children about business, economics, and entrepreneurship.
LITERACY VOLUNTEERS
need volunteers to
teach adults how to read and write as well as bi-lingual
volunteers to teach adults to read/write in English.
MARITIME AND YACHTING MUSEUM
needs
volunteers to help with office assistance, website
maintenance, and docents.
MARTIN COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE
CENTER needs
help at the information desk. Answer phones, greet visitors
and provide directions to various departments on Mondays,
Thursdays and Fridays.

COUNTY CONVENTION AND BUSINESS BUREAU
needs greeters, office help and people to provide tourist
information.
MARTIN COUNTY LIBRARIES
need shelvers and docents. Also looking for assistants for
special events.
MARTIN COUNTY HEALTHY START
COALITION needs
receptionists to answer phones and greet visitors. Some
light clerical work is available. The hours they are
looking to fill are any day Monday through Friday from 10am
– 4pm.
MARTIN COUNTY MASTER
GARDENERS seek
volunteers to help build and maintain various gardens
throughout Martin County.
MOLLY’S HOUSE
is looking for volunteers to answer phones and perform light
clerical/computer tasks. Also seeking administrative
assistance with bookkeeping and event planning.
MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION
needs volunteers to serve as
greeters/seaters for Stuart Lock up event to benefit MDA –
May 29, 2008.
MUSIC
EDUCATION SEMINARS, INC.
is looking for volunteers to
serve as bookkeeper, classical music librarian, stage
manager, and in website development.

assist with planning, fund-raising, community relation
