Teens Inc of the Treasure Coast

Martin Volunteers (formerly known as the Volunteer & Community Resource Center) established Teens Inc of the Treasure Coast to provide an avenue for young people to get involved in local projects. It is open to anyone 13 to 19 years old who is enrolled in any public, private, alternative or charter middle or high school on the Treasure Coast.

Through volunteer activities, participants have the opportunity to connect with others and learn how they can be a part of the solution to social problems in their own schools and neighborhoods.

Involvement also enables teens to meet community service requirements necessary for scholarships.

Volunteer opportunities for teens include:

  • Mentoring with Big Brothers/Big Sisters

  • Mentoring with extended-day school programs

  • Reading to children at the Health Department

  • Assisting with Meals on Wheels

  • Being a camp helper at Hobe Sound Nature Center

  • Being a friendly visitor to the elderly

  • Helping at YMCA

  • School Supplies for Students drive (late July/early August)

  • White Doves Holiday Project (December)
