YOUTH UNITED

Martin Volunteers established YOUTH UNITED to provide an avenue for young people to get involved in local projects. It is open to anyone from 13 to 18 years old who is enrolled in any public, private, alternative or charter middle or high school in Martin County.

Through volunteer activities, participants have the opportunity to connect with others and learn how they can be a part of the solution to social problems in their own schools and neighborhoods.

Involvement also enables teens to meet community service requirements necessary for scholarships.

Volunteer opportunities for teens include:

  • Teen mentors

  • Art gallery and library assistance

  • Reading to children

  • Animal and wildlife care

  • Teen ambassador

  • Being a friendly visitor to the elderly

  • Thrift shop helpers

  • School Supplies for Students drive (late July/early August)

  • White Doves Holiday Project (December)
